  • You can start seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist as soon as you feel ready after giving birth. Generally, around 3-4 weeks postpartum is an ideal time to begin, even if you’re not experiencing any noticeable pelvic floor dysfunction. Early assessment and rehabilitation can help you establish a strong foundation for recovery and prevent potential issues. However, it’s never too early or too late to start caring for your pelvic floor—your physiotherapist can tailor a program to suit your individual needs at any stage postpartum.

  • Yes, you can claim physiotherapy through your private health insurance, provided you have extras cover that includes physiotherapy. Make sure to check your specific policy details for any limits or conditions on claims.

  • Yes we do under a GP Management plan or Team Care Arrangement for allied health services. We also accept Mental Health Care Plans for our psychology servcies. Patients under GP Care Plans are required to pay in full on the day of service. Your Medicare claim can be processed in clinic. It can take up to 48-hours for your rebate to reach your nominated bank account. Medicare does not cover the full fee of treatment and there will be a GAP payment. We are not a Bulk Billing practice.
